House and cottage. 2 builds. Early C17 and mid C18 with later alterations.
Wheelwright Cottage. Coursed ironstone rubble. Steeply pitched thatched roof,
hipped on right over workshop. Brick ridge stacks. 2-unit plan plus workshop.
Single storey plus attic. 2-window attic range. Entrance off-centre to left has
a chamfered 4-centred head. C20 door. Blocked stone framed window to right and
above doorway under thatch. Ground floor has a C20 window on left with wood
lintel. To right a 3-light metal casement in wood frame, a C20 window and a
3-light metal casement window to workshop in wood frame. All windows have wood
lintels. Attic has 2 half-dormers with 2- and 3-light casements, wrought-iron
casement fasteners, springs and wood lintel. Fire plaque. Cottage abutting to
left. Coursed ironstone rubble. Steeply pitched thatched roof. 1-unit plan.
Single storey plus attic. 1-window range. Entrance to left has a 4-panelled door
with wood lintel and hood. Both ground and attic floors have 2-light wood
casements with wood lintels. Interiors not inspected.
