The black background shows a wife predeceasing her husband. Blazonry: Argent two chevrons sable, on a canton azure a quatrefoil or (Staunton). In escutcheon, Staunton. The escutcheon suggests that she was the heiress, but only if she and her husband took the name Staunton. (Photo Feb 2014).
