House. C18, altered C19. Coursed squared ironstone, tile roof, various brick and
stone stacks. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys and attic; 4-window range. 4-panel
part-glazed door with overlight under porch with ogee lead roof supported by
fluted Doric pillars. C19 wide canted bay window to left with horned sashes
without glazing bars. 12-pane sash above door, 2 15-pane sash windows to first
floor left, blocked window to right. Attic windows in 2 front gables have stone
lintels and keyblocks and 9-pane sashes. Right gable has stone stack to left
slope. Stone coped gables with kneelers. Quoins to angles. Single-storey, C19,
extension to left. Right side elevation has tall central round arch window with
imposts which lights staircase. Square raised panels between first floor
windows. Long service and stable wing to rear of later date. Rear elevation has
windows with stone lintels and keyblocks, mostly blocked, and stone coped wall
between gables with dummy windows. Interior: C18 painted oak open-well staircase
with wide shallow flights, turned balusters, moulded handrail and square newel
posts.
