Station, mid C19. Possibly by Benjamin Green. Squared stone with ashlar dressings, cast iron frame to canopy;
Welsh slate roof. Double-span with shorter rear range. 2 storeys, 6 bays.
Doorway in bay 2 and pair of doorways in bay 5. 12-pane sash windows except
for smaller window above paired doors. All openings in recessed chamfered
surrounds, those to ground floor with hoodmoulds; all boarded over at time of
survey. Coped gables with moulded kneelers, stepped and corniced left end and
2 ridge stacks, with panelled shafts. Canopy over platform carried on 5
octagonal piers with moulded caps and bases. Rear elevation: 3-bay part to
right has 7 steps up to door, flat-roofed left bay has narrow 8-pane sashes
and moulded parapet.
