Probably C16. L-shaped timber-framed house refaced probably in 1686 as the
gables have this date in them. Now fronted with red vitreous brick and grey
headers alternately. Stringcourse of ditto. Moulded wooden cornice. Tile-hung
gable at each end of the front with the date 1686 and the initials J A on
the pendants. On the inner side of each gable and flanking the centre windows
is a rectangular projection on both floors originally with porch on the ground
floor of each. Brick parapet over these and the portion between them with
a central tile-hung gable behind it containing a blocked attic window with
a pediment over it. Tiled roof. Two storeys. Five windows. The west wing
has the timber-framing exposed in the west wall.
