Fernery. Third quarter of C19, for Lord Armstrong. Walls rendered externally,
internally faced by unshaped gritstone boulders. Plan: externally rectangular,
internally 2 irregular enclosures with grottoes at corners and archways
between and at east end. Formerly covered by a hinged glazed roof, as part
of an extensive glasshouse complex.
