Shown on Ordnance Survey map as Dovehouse Close.
House. Mid C17, C18 and C19 restoration. Squared coursed limestone with C19
plain tile roof. H-shape plan. 2 storeys. Main front of 4-window range with
gabled cross wings breaking forward to left and right. Left cross wing is blank
with some evidence of blocked openings. Right cross wing has 3-light stone
mullion windows, with hood moulds, to each floor. Similar window to ground floor
left of centre. 3-window range to centre, first floor, is of plain casements
under wood lintels. Two 6-panel doors to left and right of centre range have
rectangular fanlights with glazing bars and wood lintels. 8-panel door also
under wood lintel to return wall of left cross wing. Ashlar gable parapets with
finial to right gable. C19 brick stacks with ashlar bases to ridge and ends.
Elevation to left is a 2-window range of plain casements. Rear elevation is
similar to main front with 3-light stone mullion windows to cross wings. 2
casements to centre range, one at first floor having glazing bars and wood
lintel. 6-panel door with glazed toplights to left. Interior not inspected but
noted as having early C19 staircase with stick balustrade.
