House. Dated 1761 with minor alterations. Red brick with raised
band at first floor level and pilaster strips at angles; tiled roof
on corbelled eaves. Verge parapets with end stacks. Double range
plan. Two-storey and attic four window front, a symmetrical arrangement
of three windows upset by a further range to the left (possibly later
insertions). Flat headed dormers over 3,2,3 light transomed casements
with gauged brick segmental heads (the additional range is 2-light
and similar). Central entrance in single-storey flat-roofed porch
with stone cornice and blocking course; segmental-headed opening to
set back C20 part-glazed double doors. Interior: deep entrance hall
leads to stair hall at rear of building via an elliptical arch. Dog-
leg staircase set to right with open string, carved consoles, two
turned balusters per tread, curtail scroll, handrail ramped at angles.
