Farmhouse. Early C18, extended 1758, remodelled 1852, later alterations.
Red brick with ashlar dressings and quoins to east/west range and coursed
dressed rubble to butted 'L' plan north range; stone slate and Welsh
slate roofs; twin-shafted brick end and ridge stacks. Early C18 frontage
block in brick and stone slate roof with verge parapets, and rusticated
quoins; fenestration framed in 2 raised stone-dressed continuous ranges;
3-light casement windows to left with a shield in the panel formed at
first floor level, inscribed R ;
3-sided parapetted flat-roofed B & S
2-storey bay window to right 1852
with casement light. Small-pane casement 2-window stone and slate roof
range to rear, dated N ; hipped lean-to against early C18
H S block on south-west. Entrance adjacent
1758 to left with pedimented doorcase and
panelled door. Interior: stair hall has several panelled doors, one to
south-east with architrave and keystone. Dog leg stair; vase base
balusters and open strings, curtail step and scroll; 3-transom stair
window. Wing to rear has heavy ceiling beams and large fireplace with
an internal fire-light.
