A timber-framed and plastered building probably of C16 origin but much
altered in the C18 and later. Two storeys. The upper storey has 2 small
double-hung sash windows with glazing bars and a central loft doorway.
The ground storey has a C19 shop front with 3 windows with glazing bars
and 2 doorways under a cornice. At the north-east end there is a passageway
with exposed timber-framing. The upper storey is built on to the gable
of No 16. This building is said to have been the Toll House and at one
time it was used as a stable with hayloft.
