Farmhouse. Late C16-C17, modernised c1900 and with extensive renovation of 1978-80. Timber-framed on plinth, rendered. Brick stacks. Plain tile roof. Lobby-entry plan, 4 1/2-bay frame. 2 storeys and attic. C20 central gabled porch. C20 casement windows. Swept roof. Gabled dormer with casement window above porch. Centre ridge stack. External stacks to gable ends rebuilt c1948. C20 addition under pent roof to left.
Interior: frame and roof structure almost completely concealed by plasterboard cladding. Ground floor, chamfered spine beam tenoned into cross beam. Exposed joists. Restored open studded partition. At 1st floor level one jowled chamfered post exposed with chamfered cambered tie beam. Half bay contains stack. Left bay said to be formerly jettied and contained separate staircase.
