A late C18-early C19 house fronted in Suffolk brick, built on a U shaped
plan with the main frontage to the south-west and wings extending to the
north-east. 2 storeys. 7 window range on the south-west front, arranged
3:l:3 and 3 window range on the south-east front, arranged 1:1:1 (1 window
blocked). The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in plain
reveals. On the south-west front there is a central gable with flanking
pilasters and the ground storey has 2 window range with a central wood
doorcase with panelled reveals, plain Ionic columns and modillion pediment
with an ornamental frieze. The centre part of the south-east front projects
slightly with a gable and a central glazed door in a stone doorcase with
a moulded architrave and keystone. Roof tiled, hipped, with a paired
modillion eaves soffit and red brick end chimney stacks. The house stands
in its own park.
