Late C17/early C18. Small cottage with gable-end to street. 2 storeys.
Coursed rubble with some ashlar blocks. Stone slab roof. Gable with
saddle-stone and raised panel in apex. Also blocked up round-headed opening.
3 windows (grouped) on first-floor. Sashes, glazing bars missing. C18
bowed shop-window to left on ground-floor with small colonnettes at angles.
Doorway with moulded wooden surround to right. 3-panel door with upper
2 panels glazed. Attached to north side of cottage is ashlar wall of large
blocks with plinth. This wall continues up the hill, turning away from
the road to join a tall gatepier (approximately 12ft high) with plain
top.

All the listed buildings in Whitehead's Lane together with Nos 15 to 17
(consec) Silver Street and Nos 1 to 4 (consec) and Nos 7 and 8 White Hill
form a group.
