Originally a fine C18 frontage in the Palladian manner, but now mutilated
by the later insertion of a modern shop front occupying the whole width
of the ground floor. Ashlar, pantiled roof with 1 hipped dormer. 2 storeys
and attic storey. 3 windows. Facade has rusticated quoins to attic floor
level and is divided vertically by 4 plain Ionic pilasters supporting
architrave, plain frieze and heavy moulded cornice at attic floor level.
Attic storey surmounted by lighter moulded cornice with plain parapet
and moulded coping. All windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars
on 1st floor. Windows on first-floor heavily rusticated by square blocks
superimposed on moulded architrave surrounds and with triple-keystones.
The lower half of each pilaster has been cut off by insertion of the ground
floor shop front.
Nos 30 to 35 (consec) form a group.
