C17. Coursed rubble with stone tiled roofs. 2 storey and attic storey
with 2 gables, 3 windows. All windows are leaded casements with moulded
stone mulllions. The side windows in attic storey have 2 lights and dripmoulds
and the centre one has 3 lights. 1st floor windows are 2-light and on
the ground floor there is a 2-light window to the left of the central
doorway and a 3-light to the right. Plain square-headed door opening
under wood lintel.. Continuous weathered string at 1st floor level, weathered
string at 2nd floor level, raised over centre window to form rectangular
dripmould.
All the listed buildings in Church Street the Chantry Little Chantry,
Barton Orchard and the Catholic Church of St Thomas More, Market Street
form a group with Nos 7 and 9 to 19 Barton Orchard, Nos 5 and 6 and 27
to 31 (consec) and wall Newtown.
