3/116 Marden mill and mill house
II
Mill and mill house. c1840. Brick with slate roofs. House of
two storeys, 3 bays. Central stair hall plan. Six panelled door
with fanlights within painted brick arch, later covered with swept
metal open porch. Sixteen-paned sash windows with wedge lintels
and stone sills. Roof hipped to left and 2 stacks. Lean-to
conservatory on left. Attached to right, the mill on River Avon.
Datestone GH (George Hutchins) 1842. Three storeys, 3 bays.
Stable door to first bay. Timber casement windows with segmental
arches and keystones. Loading door on upper floor between bays 2
and 3. Water wheel removed 1932 but some machinery survives
internally.
