House. Possibly late C17 but dated 1723. Flemish bond brick with sandstone
dressings and moulded plinth, and painted moulded wood cornice. Late C20
plain-tile hipped roof. Central brick stacks to front and rear have an arched
panel to each side. Central staircase plan. 2 storeys, basement and attic;
5-window range. Symmetrical front and left return side have rusticated
alternating quoins and string course, Fielded 6-panelled door and 2-light
lead-latticed overlight in moulded stone surround with deeply moulded cornice;
string course steps up above it. Late C20 sashes throughout have gauged brick
flat arches and keystones with moulded cornices. 3 hipped roof dormers have late
C20 two-light casements. Similar 3-bay left return side has central bay of
rusticated stone. 8-panelled double-leaf door and overlight in moulded stone
surround with segmental pediment. Flight of graduated stone steps. Window above
has keystone and date 1723. Two 2-light double-chamfered mullioned basement
windows. Interior: dog-leg staircase has scrolled string, column-on-vase
balusters, wreathed handrail, column newel and panelled dado. Ground floor has
late C20 six-panelled doors. First floor has fielded 4-panelled doors.
