House. Built in 1817 for Francis Pittis of Newport but
extended to south-west in mid C19, altered C20. North-east
part is of stone rubble with thatched roof. 2 storeys 2
windows. South-east elevation has 1st floor sash windows with
blind boxes. Left-hand one with 12 panes, right-hand one
replaced by pivoting sash at time of survey. 2 French windows
to ground floor. Rear elevation has two 12-pane. sashes. Hipped
thatched roof with stock brick chimneystacks. Mid C19
south-west portion of stone rubble with tiled roof. 1 gable
with kneelers. Mullioned and transomed window and gabled porch
with kneelers and 4 centred arched doorcase. Picturesque
aspect overlooking Shanklin Chine.
