House, c1830, shown on 1842 Tithe map. Stuccoed with incised
lines over irregular rubble beneath shallow hipped slate roof
with broad eaves. 2 parallel ranges. 2 storeys, above raised
basement to rear, 3 windows with lower extension of 1 window
to left-hand side. Main part has three 12-pane sashes in
reveals. Central portico with dentilled cornice and chamfered
piers. 6-panelled door, the top 2 panels cut away and glazed.
The garden front with 2 full-height bows, verandah and
wrought-iron canopy, formerly glazed, across the ground
storey. French doors flanking central entrance to rear with
three, 12-pane sashes above, 3 tall brick chimney stacks.
Interior of main part with central hall/passage and 2 rooms to
left and to right. Original staricase with plain stick
balusters and some origianal window shutters. One original
chimney piece in left-hand rear bedroom with incised fluting.
