Former farmhouse, C15 or early C16. 1 storey and attics. A 3-cell open hall
house. Timber-framed and plastered. Thatched roof with axial chimney of red
brick; C19 carved bargeboards with spike finials. C19 gabled small-pane
casement dormers. Various C19 and C20 casements. Boarded C19 entrance doors
at both lobby-entrance and cross-passage positions. The 2-bay open hall has
one of a pair of ogee-arched service doorways. Smoke-encrusted coupled-rafter
roof. Studwork with long convex-arched wind-bracing. The parlour cell was
extended by one bay in early C17, and both ends of the roof (formerly half-
hipped) became gabled. In the parlour is a C17 moulded ceiling. The Houses
