Farmhouse. In 2 sections: late C15/early C16 to rear, early C19 to front.
Front range. Red brick with rendered gable ends and a glazed black pantiled
roof. 2 storeys. 3 windows, flush-frame sashes with glazing bars under flat
brick arches. Inset 6-panel door (the 4 upper panels glazed) and rectangular
fanlight with geometric glazing bars; panelled reveals; reeded architrave with
corner roundels. C20 open porch. Gable stacks. Rear range. Timber framed
and plastered with a glazed black pantiled roof. 2 storeys. Internal stack.
This range comprises a 2-bay former open hall with one-bay storied ends. Good
exposed framing to the end bays with some original windows; part of the open
truss survives but the original roof, of queen-post type, has been lost. A
blocked 4-centre arched doorway into the former cross-passage, now blocked.
Remains of medieval moat.
