Farmhouse. Early C17 with C19 alterations. Timber framed with a red brick
casing of mid-late C19 date. The roof has glazed black pantiles at the front
and corrugated asbestos sheeting at the rear. 2 storeys and attic. 2-cell
form with lobby entrance. C19 large-paned casement windows under segmental
arches. Gabled brick porch with wavy bargeboards, contemporary with the
casing; mid C20 entrance door. Internal stack, the shafts of sawtooth pattern
but rebuilt mid C20 in altered form. Timber frame intact but concealed except
for one room which has good studding with evidence for 2 large windows.
Original newel stairs, with an original door into the attic flight. The
attics are modernised and the roof timbers concealed.
