Former farmhouse. C17, in 2 phases. Renovated and extended to rear 1985.
Timber framed and plastered with a thatched roof. 2 storeys. 3-cell form. 3
windows, mid C20 small-paned casements. Lobby entrance: door not fitted at
time of survey. The left gable has c19 bargeboards with a spike finial at the
ridge. Internal stack and C19 external stack to right, both shafts rebuilt
mid C20. Originally a 2-cell house with an end chimney; the stack was
enlarged and the parlour cell added in later C17. Interior considerably
modernised: exposed framing, much of modest quality. The earlier section has
diamond-mullioned windows, or evidence for them, on both floors.
