Farmhouse. C16. Walls raised and shallow-pitch roof added in C19. Timber
framed and plastered with slated roof. 2 storeys. 3-cell, cross entry type.
Scattered fenestration: mainly C20 casements with diamond-leaded glass; 2
original cavetto mullioned windows. Further original windows in left gable
end and to rear, and others visible inside. Lean-to porch with mid C20 side
entrance door. Internal stack; C19 external stack to right. A good quality
frame, much of it exposed internally, with reversed and tension bracing. Open
fireplace in hall has stone jambs and original arched lintol. Both hall and
parlour have chamfered-joist ceilings and storey posts with shaped heads.
