House, early C17. 3-cell cross-entry plan. 1 storey and attics. Timber-
framed and plastered. Thatched roof with 3 C20 eyebrow casement dormers. An
axial early C17 chimney of red brick with sawtooth shaft. C20 casements and
boarded and battened entrance door. Quite complete and typical framing with
arch studbraced studwork and clasped purlin roof. A complete ovolo-mullioned
window in the parlour. Floor joists laid flat and chamfered. Tie-beams are
omitted at internal trusses; instead braces rise from the 1st floor binding
beam to the post-heads in the parlour-chamber. Back-to-back open fireplaces;
that in the hall has a cambered lintel. The service cell to left has been
rebuilt in C18 or early C19 with primary-braced studding.
