House. C17. Timber framed and rendered, lined in imitation of ashlar.
Plaintiled roof. 2 storeys and attic. 3 windows, C19 2-light casements with
horizontal glazing bars. On ground floor, one 4-light casement and to right
an early C19 canted shop window with 30 small panes and modillion cornice.
C19 door with 4 moulded panels. 2 gabled dormers. Interior. Plain studding
with some re-used components, pronounced jowls to main posts. Ceiling of
ground floor has ogee stop-chamfered floorbeam and square oak joists.
Original upper ceiling, the joists set flat and probably re-used. Open
fireplace on ground floor. Roof timbers concealed.
