(Pray for the souls of) Thomas Playters, Esquire, formerly (patron) of this church, (and Anne, his wife, and sister of Roger De)nays, formerly of Tatyngton, Esquire, which same (Thomas died the 21st day of the month of September in the year of our Lord 14)79 and the
aforesaid Anna died the 10th day of the month of October on whose souls may God have mercy Amen
