House. Early-mid C19, probably earlier work to rear. White brick, hipped
slated roof. 2 storeys plus semi-basement. Symmetrical facade with 5
windows, inset sashes with glazing bars, flat brick arches; blank panels to
basement. The doorway is approached by a flight of 6 steps: inset half-glazed
double doors, panelled reveals, moulded architrave; portico with fluted
columns and pilasters supporting entablature. Wide overhanging eaves with
wooden paired bracketed cornice. Good staircase of earlier date with 2
balusters per tread.
