Cottage pair. 1867 by the Lovelace Estate. Red brick as rendered plinth with brick
decorations; slate roofs under ridge cresting, now partly destroyed. Two storeys,
plat band over ground floor with alternating brick billet band to eaves. Corbelled
stacks to front right of centre and end right. Regular front of 4 casement windows
breaking into eaves band on first floor, 4 windows under cambered heads to ground
floor. Half glazed, cambered head door to left in trellis work "rustic" porch with
slate roof (Tower Cottage). Brick and weatherboard gable porch to right (Red Rose
Cottage). C20 extensions to rear. Included for group value.
