Wall and garden grotto. 1861. Built by Lovelace Estate. Flint rubble with brick
dressings and decoration. Wall, circa 2½ feet high curving round to grotto on left
end. Arcaded band to front of wall under dentilled and D-section coping. Half
octagonal grotto to rear left with 4 angled faces, flat entrance face and slate
roof. Narrow brick-edged breathers to angled sides, brick dentil band, of alternating
billet type, to eaves. Arched entrance in rubbed and glazed brick, roll-moulded
surround. Included for group value .
