C17 timber-framed building, refronted with red brick and grey headers
about 1680. Tiled roof with gable ends to sides of house. 2 storeys.
5 windows. Long and short stone quoins and plinth. Brick stringcourse
above ground floor. Wooden cornice with modillions below the eaves.
Sash windows in frames. Brick porch with 2 archways in it, the inner
recessed. Terracotta keystone over outer arch with armorial bearings.
North-south wing behind facing on to east side of St Martin's Square.
Nos 1, 2, 3, 20 and 21 form a group with No 6 Lion Street.
