Large house of irregular plan. The original or south portion is a large cottage orne of about 1800 probably built by Lord George Lennox. Two storeys. Six windows. Faced with roughcast with some flintwork. Thatched roof in three hips with one gable, which is slated. Two projections, the centre one gabled. Casement windows, some pointed. On the north east side is an irregular projection of about 1820 which is faced with flints with brick dressings and quoins, a slate roof and sash windows with glazing bars intact. Projecting gabled porch beyond this. The central north wing dates from about 1830 and is faced with roughcast, the north west wing from the late C19 and is red brick.
