Inn. Late C18 altered and extended mid C19. Painted brick with tiled roof
concealed by tall parapet with stone coping. 2 storey corner building, not quite
symmetrical. 5 windows to South Street, 4 windows to Church Street. South Street
windows and end one to Church Street have panels above. Sashes with cambered
reveals with verticals only. Band between ground and first floors on Church Street
elevation. South Street elevation has off-central Tuscan portico. Church Street
has doorcase with flat wooden hood on brackets, semi-circular fanlight, panelled
reveals and pilasters. The interior has a 'Gothick' glazed doorcase, C19 frosted
Public Bar screen and bar fascia and early C19 staircase with stick balusters and
curved newel post.
