Farmhouse, sub-divided C19 and now 4 dwellings. Late C17. Coursed squared
ironstone, slate roofs, brick end and ridge stacks. L-plan. 3 storeys; 2-window
range to High Street. 5-window deep. Front to High Street (No.6) has central
4-panel part-glazed door with gabled C19 hood on timber brackets, a 3-light
casement window to right and to first floor, both with timber lintels. A 3-light
chamfered mullion attic window with hood mould in gable to left. The main range
lies at right angles to High Street, a short projecting wing parallel to street
forms right half of street front and gable end to right has a blocked 3-light
chamfered mullion window to ground floor, a 3-light casement window replacing
mullions, to first floor and a 2-light mullion window to second floor. Long left
side elevation of 2 and 3 storeys has C19 2 and 3-light casement windows and C20
doors to Nos.8 and 10. Stone coped gables with kneelers. Interior of No.6 has
stop-chamfered spine beams and bressumer to open fireplace with bread oven.
