Fenham Hall Drive Piers

Uploader's Comments

The Fenham Hall Piers are situated to the Eastern boundary of the Fenham Hall Estate on Fenham Hall Drive, Fenham, Newcastle upon Tyne. Placed during the occupation of owner William Ord 1715-1768 the piers are the last remaining of three pairs of piers thought to exist on the Fenham Estate. The southern most pier of these is in the foreground and also bears a OS benchmark. FHD is no longer a private road and the piers can be seen from the public footpaths. The HER no is 8848 and they are sandstone ashlar.
