Mill and attached millhouse. Mill dated 1810; millhouse rebuilt mid C19. Mill of
lias ashlar, with second floor of brick; brick dentil cornice. Old tile roof
with gable parapets. Millhouse of Bidford brick. Old tile roof; brick ridge
stacks. Mill 2 storeys and attic, with mill wheel below; 4-window range. Stable
door on left, and first floor loading door above. Double doors to mill wheel on
right. Walls around wheel entirely of brick. Original casements with glazing
bars. All openings have brick segmental arches. Millhouse on left 3-unit plan. 2
storeys; 2-window range. Entrance to rear. C19 and C20 casements with segmental
arches. Right return side of mill has attic window. Left return side of
millhouse has casements. To rear: Mill has segmental-arched opening over mill
wheel. 2 ground floor and one first floor casements. Millhouse: 3-window range.
4-panelled door and fanlight between first and second windows. Plank door with
segmental arch on right; blind window above. Sashes with 8 vertical panes;
gauged brick flat arches on ground floor, painted wood lintels on first floor.
Interior: Mill has original wheel and machinery, all in good working order.
Queen oc,st roof. Extending iron right return side of mill is a mid C20 single
storey range.
