Farmhouse. C17, with mid/late C19 front range and alterations. Timber framed
with brick infill; addition of brick. Tile roofs; brick ridge and external
stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys and attic; front range 2 storeys; 3-window range.
Symmetrical front has 2 slightly-projecting cross wings. Central 4-panelled door
with overlight, inside open porch. Segmental arched casements with painted stone
sills. Rear range to left return side has substantial exposed framing with
jowled posts and gable. Further one storey and attic range, partly faced in
brick, with external stack and catslide roof. Section beyond has some lath and
plaster infill. Irregular fenestration: Casements with glazing bars and fixed
light windows. Rear side of wing faced in brick. One-window range, with
half-dormer. Interior: Wing noted as having exposed framing and chamfered
ceiling beams.
