C16, possibly older. Small Wealden-type hall house. One of only 2 examples
in Wilton. 2 storeys, 1st floor jettied. Painted brick with 2 studs on
1st floor; centre bay once recessed cf. No 25 North Street (qv) - no beam
ends project below the bressumer. Tiled roof with 1 brick ridge chimney.
Three 2-light windows on 1st floor; 2 on ground floor, these are C20 4-light
glazing bar casement bays. Throughpassage to left.
Interior: restored. Inglenook in extension to rear. Windbraces to purlins;
stout timber-framed party walls.
