Early C18. 2 storey and attic, brick, projecting plinth, stone quoins, moulded
stone string at 1st floor level, moulded and coved eaves cornice. Old tile
roof hipped to right hand. 2 storey projecting bay in approximate centre
of house.
2 irregular dormer windows, one hipped. 2 windows to left hand of bay with
contemporary glazing, 1 window in projecting bay (glazing bars removed), 3
C18 windows to right hand including one narrow one next bay. All on 1st floor.
2 windows one a former doorway to left hand. 1 doorway in bay, and 3 windows
corresponding to 1st floor windows to right hand.
Doorway in bay - 6 panelled door with rectangular fanlight with arched and
radiating glazing. Moulded architrave frame. 2 heavy carved acanthus scroll
brackets support a flat moulded hood with panelled soffit.
Interior has good staircase with trussed balusters, heavy moulded handrail.
Good fielded panelling to hall and ground floor rooms. On 1st floor more
fielded panelling and good stucco decorated cornices. Rear room Jacobeanised
probably early C20 panelling and overmantel possibly reset original parts.
Nos 87 to 101 (odd) form an important group.
