C18 mid on older house. 2 storeys and attic, brick raised plinth, brick string
at lst floor level, moulded brick eaves cornice, old tile roof. 2 hipped
dormer windows (Cl9 2-light casements).
5 windows lst floor.
1 passage entrance to left hand on ground floor. 1 window, 1 central door
and 2 windows. All windows on ground and lst floors, have flush frames, rubbed
arches, stone keystones and no glazing bars. Central door of 6 fielded panels,
with architrave surround, panelled pilasters with fluted and beaded brackets,
small moulded and denticulated broken cornice and open pediment. Back elevation
has 2 tile hung gables. Left hand gable has 1 window in attic and 3 windows
on 1st floor. Right hand gable has 2 windows. The interior rehandled C19.
The Royal George Public House and Nos 23 to 45 (odd) form a group.
