House. Early C19. White brick, stuccoed on the principal
front. Fully hipped shallow-pitched slate roof with a wide
eaves overhang.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. 3 window range: 2-light casements with 2
horizontal glazing bars and slatted external shutters. 2
large-paned French windows to the ground storey. A raised
stucco band between the 2 storeys and a veranda with cast-iron
openwork supports and a curved lead-covered roof to the ground
storey. Central entrance: door with 2 leaves. A wing set back
on the right has a cast-iron lead-roofed balcony to the 1st
storey and an enclosed C20 veranda below.
INTERIOR: ground storey, originally divided into 2 rooms with
a central entrance corridor between, now one large area. On
the left, the room retains an original plaster modillion
cornice; on the right, plaster dentils. Each side has an
original marble fireplace surround. At the rear, a stair with
bracketed treads, wreathed handrail and stick balusters.
