House, early to mid C18, coursed rubble stone with stone slate
valley roof moulded coped gables and end stacks. Two storeys and
attic. Formal 3-window front with 2 gables rising from parapet,
flush quoins, plinth, moulded cornices to main floors and flush
cyma-moulded mullion windows. Two-light to each gable, 3-light,
2-light and 3-light to first floor, and 3-light each side of centre
door in moulded surround with pediment on acanthus scroll brackets.
Parallel rear range, paired south gables, left gable with 2-light
and dripstone to each floor and another to first floor right over
former door, now window. Rear wall has blocked 2-light over 2-
light with dripstone. A rear wing with coped gable and end stack
has a pair of 12-pane sashes to each floor in bead-moulded
surrounds and door to right in moulded surround. A lower west
addition with end stack has 2 hipped dormers over single light and
3-light windows with dripstones and door to right. North end of
main range has mullion windows to right gable.
Interior: ground floor north room has Tudor arched moulded stone
fireplace. To left and right of main facade curved screen walls
curve out to road, ramped down from house over doors in moulded
surrounds and with attached piers at road entries, repeated each
end of low centre wall. Outer walls continue c23m to north and
c18m to south along road, ramped up at ends. North screen wall is
brick lined on west side.
