Large stable range, early C18, rubble stone with small ashlar block
centrepiece, stone tiled roof and coped gables with moulded coping
and finials. Formal east front, 2 storeys with ashlar pedimented
centrepiece, three 12-pane upper windows and 3 segmental arched
coach entries with keystones. Long wings each side have 2 first
floor 2-light recessed ovolo-moulded windows, widely spaced, and
ground floor arched doorway with imposts and keystone, 3-light
window in moulded architrave, door in heavy Gibbs surround with
flat cornice and similar 3-light window. Louvre turret on ridge.
Irregular rear with central wallface stack flanked by 2-light
recessed ovolo-moulded upper window. To left, similar ground floor
window, large upper keyed oval, eaves dormer with C20 casements and
another C20 casement to first floor beyond. To right, outside
steps to upper door and keyed oval at right end, first floor.
Building is possibly C17 remodelled in C18.
