House, possibly C18, altered in C19, rubble stone with Bridgwater
tile roof. Two storeys, L-plan. East end has coped gables, end
stacks and 12-pane sashes, two above, two to left of door below,
one to right. Upper sashes have mid C19 ashlar coped gables over,
similar to those on Murhill House (q.v.). Door has six flush
panels and is set in C19 ashlar gabled porch with chamfered piers
and matching responds. Glazed sides. L-plan west end has one-
window range adjoining main house with intersecting-glazing-bar
sash each floor and a C19 wing running north with end stack and
various sashes. Two houses are marked on the site on 1841 Tithe
map. House is said to have been built by J. Wiltshire in mid C18.
