GV II


Gate piers with attached railings and gates. Early C19. Chamfered
rusticated ashlar piers with plain weathered capitals. Central
cast-iron spearhead double gates with flanking short lengths of
matching screen railing. At the end of a mile and half-long avenue
overlooked by east front of Monkton Farleigh Manor House (q.v.).
