Two cottages, now one house. C17, altered C19 and extended C20.
Random rubble stone, double Roman tiled roof with gable end stone
stacks. Two-storey, 3-window. Planked door to right of centre
with C20 flat stone hood on brackets, 3-light cyma-mullioned
casement with hoodmould to right, 2-light flush mullioned casement,
glazed door and 3-light ovolo-mullioned casement to left. First
floor has three 2-light C19 flush mullioned casements. Right
return has 2-light C20 casement lighting stairs, glazed door to
ground floor. Short wing to rear left, probably early C19, has 2-
light flush mullioned casements, C20 parallel range attached to
rear right.
Interior: Room to right of entrance has restored chamfered Tudor-
arched fireplace surround with winding stairs in left corner.
First floor has chamfered elliptical-arched stone fireplace in
south bedroom. Corn-drying oven formerly in lean-to extension to
rear, recess on former external wall retained. Good moulded plank
and muntin doors reset here during C20 renovations, said to be from
an hotel in Burford.
