Terrace of four houses, Nos 10 and 12 now hotel. Early C19.
Ashlar, Welsh slate roof. Regency. 3-storeys, 8-windows. Nos 8
and 14 are gabled projectioning flanking units of group with Nos 10
and 12 in centre. Nos 8, 10 and 12 have glass-panelled doors, No 8
and Nos 10 and 12 in Regency porches with fluted frieze, four
canted bays with 16-pane sashes, reeded cases and quartefoiled
frieze. To left is No 14 with Gothic door case and battlemented
porch. First floor has fine wrought iron balcony with canopy to
Nos 10 and 12, 6-windows behind are tall casements with margin-
lights. Nos 14 and 16 have elegant cast-iron canted balconies with
unusual French windows with margin-lights. Band with Guilloche
decoration at second floor level, eight 9-pane sashes, two of which
are blind. Ornamental plaster cornice to Nos 10 and 12, Nos 8 and
14 have decorated gable eaves, No 14 has classical plaque.
Pilasters to sides and centre. Attached to left is 3-storey wing
of No 14 with two 12-pane sashes in round-arched panels to first
floor above porch and square-headed entry, two sashes to second
floor, cornice and blocking course. Right return has sashes,
including one with round-arched head to first floor. Rear is
plastered with assorted windows, mostly C20 casements.
