1870, designed and built by William Smith of Trowbridge. Front with triple gabled
arcade. Dogtooth and moulded verge to cope with gargoyles at bases. 4 pink granite
shafts with floral caps. Main gable has saddlestone formerly with cross. Trefoil
headed niche below with statue of the Redeemer (by Palmer and Shepheard of Bristol).
Trefoil arch in centre above which is oculus filled with wrought iron spikes and
supported above lintel by angels. Motto on lintel. Very heavily wrought iron
strapwork on doors (by Lucas); steps into now derelict vault. Sides battered,
with corner gargoyles. Top barrel vaulted; end apsed.
