Listed Buildings in Clynnog, Gwynedd

  1. II 1 & 2, Sportsman's Row, Gyrn Goch, Caernarfon, LL54 5PH
    The house is at the NE end of a row of cottages fronting the A499 Pwllheli to Caernarfon road, approximately 1800m SW of Clynnog-fawr.
  2. II Bod Cybi
    The house is one of a row of cottages overlooking the churchyard at the centre of the village.
  3. II Bodfasarn
    The house lies alongside the main road, immediately SW of the church in the centre of the village.
  4. II Bryn-goleu
    The cottage stands below the road running around the foot of Bwlch-mawr, about 100m W of Filltir, and 1.5km direct ESE of Clynnog-fawr.
  5. II Brynaerau uchaf
    The farm lies SE of the hamlet of Pontllyfni, on a minor road leading to the SW.
  6. II Capel Ebenezer Photos
    The chapel lies on the back road from Clynnog to Llanllyfni, approximately 700m from its junction with the A499 just N of the village centre.

    The building is set slightly back from the A499 road near the N end of Clynnog.

    The parish church is set close to the main Caernarfon to Pwllheli road, in a large graveyard which slopes gently to the N. The chapel stands on the S side of the tower.

    The building stands in fields to the NW and below the hamlet of Capel Uchaf, and is now only approached across fields.

    Located on the E side of the road, at the junction with the lane to Hafod y Rhiw fawr.

    The building is attached to the SW gable end of Bodfasarn, facing the main road.

    Hafod-y-wern stands on a hilltop above Clynnog-fawr, reached by farm track and small road at the side of the Post Office.
  14. II* Hovel at Tan-y-bwlch
    The structure stands in the garden of Tan-y-bwlch, a farm on the N side of the road skirting the north side of Bwlch Mawr and running towards Pencaenewydd.
  15. II Lleuar-fawr
    The farm is approximately 1.5km due W of Llanllyfni, off the minor road to Clynnog-fawr, and is approached by a long farm track. The site overlooks the valley of the Afon Llyfni.
  16. II Lychgate to the churchyard of the Church of St Beuno Photos
    The lychgate opens directly off the main road at the centre of the village, and leads into the W corner of the churchyard opposite the E end of the chancel.
  17. II Maes-glas
    The house stands between the village and Ffynnon Beuno, at the SW end of the main road.

    On the northern slopes of Bwlch Mawr, towards the upper limits of the enclosed land approx. 0.75 km due south of Clynnog, accessed by bridle-way from the village towards open grazing of the mountain.

    Hafod-y-wern stands on a hilltop above Clynnog-fawr, reached by farm track and small road at the side of the Post Office.
  22. II Pigsty and outside kitchen at Pen yr allt Isaf
    Forms the eastern range of the yard at Pen yr allt Isaf.
  23. II Pont-y-cim
    The bridge is c800m from the main A499 at the hamlet of Pontllyfni, and carries a minor road over the Afon Llyfni (Llyfnwy).

    The shop is set on a cut-off section of the main road, SW of the Coach Inn, and on the corner of a minor road into the hills at the rear.
  25. II Row of cottages in Capel Uchaf
    The row of cottages lies against, and on the S side of the minor road running E from Clynnog-fawr, opposite the turning to Coed-tyno.

    The school and master's house stand in line with Capel Ebenezer and Ty-capel, in Upper Clynnog.

  28. II Sundial in the churchyard of the Church of St Beuno
    The sundial now stands in the churchyard approximately 3m from the SW corner of the Chapel of St Beuno.

    The farm is located below the road from Clynnog to Llanllyfni, just W of the junction with a lane running SE to Bwlch-y-derwin.

    The inn stands beside a raised section of the old line of the main Caernarfon to Llanaelhaearn road, in the centre of Clynnog village.
  32. II The Court House
    The house is immediately outside NE side of the churchyard, facing towards the church.

    The tomb is set in the churchyard on the NE side of the church, close to the gable of the N vestry.
  34. II Ty Capel
    The chapel and the adjoining house stand on the back road from Clynnog to Llanllyfni, a little to the N of the village centre.
