Telephone call box of cast-iron construction to the standard design of Giles Gilbert Scott, architect of London. Design introduced by General Post Office in 1936. This example probably dates from the reign of George VI. Domed roof with 4 lunettes with embossed crowns over red-lettered opals and ventilation slits ( but original opal lost on road side ). Raised surrounds to sides and door with marginal bars to horizontal glazing. Blank rear, moulded plinth
Included for its contribution to the Penybont Fawr conservation area.
